...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...Little Sioux River at Cherokee affecting Cherokee County.* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.This is forecasted to exceed the flood of record.* WHERE...Little Sioux River at Cherokee.* WHEN...Until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 29.0 feet, water reaches the IFC sensor feed-horn* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 27.1 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 3:00 PM CDT Saturday was 27.1 feet.- Forecast...The river will rise to 29.6 feet just aftermidnight tonight. It will then fall early tomorrow afternoon.It will rise to 25.0 feet Tuesday morning.
