In northeast Illinois,Central Cook, DuPage, Eastern Will, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, LakeIL, McHenry, Northern Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook andSouthern Will.* WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Sunday.* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Floodingmay occur in poor drainage and urban areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Thunderstorms will develop into Northern Illinois thisevening with locally heavy rainfall possible. In the Avon Bottomsarea of Rock County, flooding is occurring in Sugar River Park.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 2.0 feet.- Forecast...Flood stage may be reached late tomorrow evening.- Flood stage is 5.0 feet.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers inWisconsin...Illinois...Rock River At Afton affecting Winnebago and Rock Counties.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Rock River at Afton.* WHEN...Until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 10.1 feet, Floodwaters affect the property of a homeon South Christian Road on the east side of the river in the Aftonarea. Minor erosional flood damage occurs to lowland andagricultural land adjacent to the river the Afton and Janesvilleareas. This level is the 20 percent chance flood meaning thatthere is a 20 percent chance in any given year of the riverreaching this level.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 3:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 8.9 feet.- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagethis evening and continue rising to a crest of 9.7 feettomorrow evening.- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of9.7 feet on 04/11/1922.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Between 1 and 2 inches of rainhas fallen with these storms.- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected overthe area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.Multiple automated weather stations have recorded betweenthree quarters of an inch to nearly an inch of rain in just15 minutes!- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Rockford, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills,McHenry, Belvidere, Woodstock, Huntley, Loves Park, MachesneyPark, Roscoe, Fox Lake, Harvard, Island Lake, South Beloit,Rockton, Marengo, Poplar Grove, Rockford Airport and Cary.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Heavy rainfall rates of up to two inchesper hour will be possible with these storms as they shift eastsoutheastward across northern Illinois through the evening. Rainfallamounts of this magnitude may cause instances of localized flashflooding, along with significant rises on area streams and rivers,some of which couldreach or exceed flood stage, especially along portions of the Rockriver.This outlook means that elevated water levels and potential impactsare possible, but not yet certain.
